WTO Decision - China's Reaction

It probably should have received more notice - a World Trade Organization ruling that went against China's policy of having foreign economic interests funneled through China's companies. From foreign companies point of view, this is a good thing. But from the Chinese point of view this weakens their control of the influence outside companies have on China.

Is this a good or a bad thing? Again, it depends upon your point of view and interests. On one hand China is opening up its land to foreign interests, but at the same time, it is expanding its military and economic growth to other countries.

So this is an area to watch.
