More Thoughts on the Trade Decision

The ability of a people to restrict foreign business interests from moving into a country should be under the control of that country. As a country, they should have the right to say who and who does not do business on their shores.

While business probably basks in this decision to open up markets in China, one has to wonder if allowing foreign business interests the right to move into a country is really a good thing. For one thing, it's going to damage the young film industry of China, that's probably not ready to compete with large foreign film interests.

This decision may be seen as an intrusion into Chinese life, and it well may be just that.
