Not long ago, twitter was useful in Iran to people who tried to communicate news. Twitter was used, much to the dismay of Iran officials, to communicate with the rest of the world. Now we find the Twitter system was hacked today and shut down. Was it shut down by operators from Iran or other countries that wanted to know if it could be shut down if they needed to?

What was interesting is the public officials didn't indicate any effort to find out who did it. Was there something our Federal government knows, that it doesn't want the public to know?
